Trekking Trip around Southern Shan State
1. Around Inle Lake & Kakku (hidden place where Pa Oo hill tribe
stay)
(A).Trekking overnight at the village. (2Day/1Night)
Day-1.
The eastern bank of the lake is a good starting point for
trekking trip to Pa Oo area. About 4&half hours trekking, will pass
through five Pa Oo villages. The same time, will enjoy end less views of
farms & fields, climbing up to the mountain range by a Zih Zag way. We
can stop any Pa Oo villages for refreshment & leisure break. We
overnight at one village which is a view point over the lake & its
environs. We enjoy the dinner Pa Oo traditional food.
Day-2. Walk down to next Pa Oo village & drive or walk to Kakku pagoda
complex. Have lunch at the Restaurant very close to Kakku pagoda
complex. Which is fascinating stucco works and descriptions of Ancient
Buddhist Stupas,lies in an area of one square kilometer in the deepest
Pa Oo territory. Drive to Taunggyi and back to the hotel.
(B).Trekking Trip (Day Return)
We start for trekking, on the way up light & heavy trekking trips would
be included and passing through Intha villages & Pa Oo villages. After
climbing up about 5 hrs, enjoy the endless view of plantation on the
slope & will see bird eye's view over Inle Lake. Excursion to local life
style, ways of life the tribe people. Back to Inle Lake & to respective
Hotel.
2. Around Kalaw (One of the famous hill stations, Palaung hill tribes)
(A). Half day Trip
(B). Kalaw to Inle Lake 2 Day/1 night (Visit to Pa
Oo, Palaung & Intha Tribe)
3. Around Pindaya (Tea leaf plantation & Danu hill tribes)
Day 1 Pindaya - YaSaKyi
Trekking will start about 8:00 to the village inhabited by the hill
tribe Danu about 2 hours. Have snack & greentea then continue to YaSaKyi
about 2 hrs trekking, where Palaung hill tribe reside have lunch & take
rest in the monastery. Visit around village dinner & overnight YarSaKyi
village.
Day 2 YaSaKyi - Pindaya
After early morning breakfast to Mt' YaSaKyi about 700 ft above sea
level. The spot offers good panoramic view continue to other tour
villages and return to Pindaya.
